Deirdre's House is the Child Advocacy Center for Morris County, New Jersey. We bring essential services together in a child-focused setting so children and families can receive coordinated support without navigating every step alone.
Since opening our doors in 1996, we have worked alongside professionals, families, and the wider community to reduce additional trauma and help children move forward.

Our role
A coordinated response, centered on the child
Child Advocacy Centers bring professionals and services together so the response to suspected abuse can be more coordinated and child-focused. At Deirdre's House, children and non-offending caregivers can access essential support in one welcoming setting.
Deirdre's House works within Morris County's multidisciplinary system alongside the professionals and agencies responsible for investigation, protection, medical care, mental health support, advocacy, and related services.

Our story
1996
Built so children would not have to navigate the system alone
Deirdre's House opened its doors in 1996 as a child-focused place for Morris County. Its purpose was to bring essential services and professional coordination together in a setting designed to reduce additional trauma for children and families.
