Because Deirdre's House protects the safety, privacy, and confidentiality of the children and families it serves, current volunteer opportunities do not involve direct client contact. Volunteers support the mission through approved projects, events, outreach, collections, and behind-the-scenes activities.

Before you volunteer
Every opportunity begins with trust
- Protect the privacy and confidentiality of Deirdre's House clients.
- Follow staff instructions and remain within the approved volunteer assignment.
- Do not photograph, identify, contact, or share information about clients or families.
- Do not enter private service areas without authorization.
- Communicate promptly if your availability changes.
- Complete any orientation or screening required for the assigned role.
Age requirements and adult-supervision requirements vary by activity. Some drives and community projects may be appropriate for youth groups when coordinated through an adult organizer.
